THE CANADIAN SENATE HAS OFFICIALLY VOTED TO FEDERALLY LEGALIZE RECREATIONAL CANNABIS!!!
While the bill still needs to go through the House of Commons and Royal Assent, today it cleared its biggest hurdle!

Update from The Hill website today:

The Senate could take its next step forward as early as Monday evening. Lawmakers have said they expect marijuana to be legal and available around September.
Regulated medical marijuana has been legal in the country since 2001.
