Pruning Zero Post And Inactive Accounts This week
« on: August 11, 2013, 01:03:20 PM »
There are a few zero post accounts that are members coming in a a regular basis. I have pm'd all of them that are left and asked them to post at least once or be deleted. This is in an effort to clean out bots, spammers, and spies. Any new members that do not post within 7 days of registering are being deleted. When an account is deleted, the person can re-register under the same user name. This gives the person a chance to come back and participate if so desired. We only ban people that have caused problems and then we do it all the way to IP range. Its better to have all members to be active and known these days.  :horns up  :horns up

Wise move,
I recall deleting hundreds if not thousands of spambots from the old lhg forum. Even after they initiated the Captcha system
to keep new spambots out, they still had hundreds or thousands of spybots already pre-registered as members that had never
posted. I had begun going thru the member list & removing the obvious frauds, but there were like 32 names per member-page
and over 600 pages to go through. Fortunately I was de-modded before getting thru too many.... :cigar
