Personally, I'm not a big fan of Hawking. Maybe folks from the future aren't either and didn't want to show up at his stupid party. They would have likely have been able to look into the great beyond and see they had to bring their own green too. I think time travelers mostly crash weddings. It's fun to say you're the bride/groom's great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandkid and see the looks you get.

My guess is actual time travelers may have looked up his party and being disappointed that Steven spelled 'travellers' wrong,
didn't bother stopping--And I'm sure real time travelers could find a much better-stocked party to visit...
