Seems like a real nice down to earth guy for an actor, they call him regular Joe.

I think he's had a lot of very good roles, he's found the right role and killed it on many occasions.  He was great in 50/50, an indie film called Manic he really shines in, also quality in Looper, DKR, Hesher and Inception to name a few.  This guy's got a bright future ahead, he's still very young.

He's definitely had good roles. I don't think he's had that ''one'' yet, if you know what I mean. He's a talented successful young actor but I think he has the potential to be so much more. I think that he will one day soon have a really incredible starring role and he will win all the awards and people will finally realize how truly talented he is and he will be catapulted in to the stratosphere popularity wise, which he deserves imo. My generation needs great actors like this. I feel like he could be a Tom Hanks successful type of actor and that's awesome in this day of fucking channing tatum being considered a great actor. Film has been being murdered by my generation for a while now. Maybe Joseph will bring it back to life.

I know what you mean by the one.  I think he's come very close to having that one defining moment of excellence on screen that you are looking for.  He hasn't had that role like Christian Bale had with The Fighter, Gosling in Drive, Leo in Departed,  Denzel in Training Day etc that really brings them into the limelight even more.  I believe his time for big character roles will come and hopefully awards will follow.  I have liked his work since he was a young kid on Roseanne, and doing movies such as Angels in The Outfield.  Class act.

We do need great actors, we have some around right now but a lot of duds.  I am not a Tatum fan, only thing I like from him is 21 Jump Steet, other than that I find him pretty average in the acting department, although he is getting better with Side Effects and Magic Mike.  He is very overrated...

We need new versions of guys like Hanks, Kevin Costner I agree...

JGL is in my top ten prob right now, I'm a big Bale fan, along with Gosling, Wahlberg, Washington, Will Smith, Woody Harrelson, James Franco. DeNiro, Pitt, Ed Norton to name a few...

This girl Jessica Chastain has been killing a lot of roles lately as well to bring up some actresses as well.
