Everyone knows how long without a break and still going. Just finished 2nd round of insanity . Down to just a hair over 4% body fast. First six pack ever had is in my 40's lol. I think you need to do something. Man you run 10 miles then take a ice cold shower, then another one and then get some THERAPY !!! Just saying best shape of my life. Get up, get moving and work out session for aromatherapy session, even swap.

Dan, what are you trying to say? Maybe it is allergy meds but I'm not following you here.
-
Ah, cool. It feels great to be healthy and in shape, and just in time for summer!
I heard insanity is a great plan--stick with it and it works for anyone!

I am on a wacky metabolic study diet. I haven't had more than 1500 calories/day since Jan 01. I average around 3500 cal/day burned and a 4500 cal/day loss. Oddly I wasn't overweight to start and Im still not over or under, considering most people my age and weight should be losing 30-40 pounds/month on that kind of diet. Weird, huh?
All I can say is I wish I was in your shoes. I miss eating.

Thanks for this Dan.
It is nice to get the perspective of a "hard-head" blender.

Glad it's working out that well for you Dan. When I get the staples out of my back and all is said and done (yeah that's still down the road apiece) I am gonna try and match ya. Of course I see one scenario with two kids poking a prone body by the side of a country road with a stick.
"Is he dead?"
"I don't know man...poke him a coupla more times"
Gimme a minute, gonna think up a new scenario with a happy ending.

Yeah, I've lost about 50-60 lbs by changing my diet... not increasing my exercise. Cut down on carbs, swapped beef for turkey wherever possible... but still have a real burger from time to time, use Dreamfields pasta... but I really need to exercise at this point because I've lost all I can on diet alone. Considering a few years back I was at 415, and staring down that slippery slope where it just gets easier to get bigger... I'm glad I found something that actually worked.
Kind of makes me wish I could time travel back, meet myself as that kid who ate tons of sugar and grease, and put my own tubby ass on a treadmill. So much easier to do this shit when you're young...

Interesting read. Keep up the good work, Dan. Glad to hear blends aren't slowing you down one bit...

Congratz Dan! So how long have you been doing insanity? My son has been bugging me to do this, he has a birthday coming up , this would be a cool way to connect with the young lad.
-
You have given me the motivation and tell your Kids a big Congrats. I think I am going to ask for this for Father's day coming up, it will be a good family activity. Thx brutha for your post.
-
Hmm this sounds awesome. Hard to see myself working out at that pace. . .
But I'm inspired to try!

6'1"
178 lbs
32 inch waist
Six pack stomach (not rock hard)
Lift weights, hike/trail run 4-5 times a week
Eat extremely well
Don't snoke cigs
Don't drink alcohol
Been to therapy hundreds and hundreds of times. Therapy is expensive - $50 - $150 each visit, usually weekly.
Cheaper means younger, sometimes at a college.
I am 43. Talking to someone about my problems with a 21 year doesn't work.
Same with my friend who smokes as much as me, he is a Vietnam Vet with severe PTSD. He literally sees dead people sometimes.
We cannot pour our hearts out to a kid. Also, since the cheap ones are usually interns or new shrinks, they move on quickly, so you end up telling your story all over again when they move on.
Also, every single therapist, physiologist, psychiatrist I have been to always ends up harping on my cannabis use. Not matter what, none of them has even been able to get past that. It always ends up with them saying I cannot work on my problems unless I get off the good herb. I have looked for a "hip" therapist, there really is no such thing, they all just zone right into my drug use.
So anywayZzzz.... thanks for the advice, but I already work out. Doesn't make a difference in the damage to my lungs.
And as far as therapy - I've tried for decades. Doesn't do shit.
My therapy is cannabis and an occasional mushroom or tab of LSD.

If MJ keeps you steady, then stay the course. I mean, whatever works, whatever keeps you going, if it is not hurting you or anyone else I don't see an issue with your MJ use. Really.

Just wanted to thank D3 for giving me a torrent downloader that works, finally got it downloaded and works flawlessly thanks bro.

So I started Insanity on Monday with the kids and God Damn this shit is crazy. I thought I was in fair to good shape but this shit worked my ass. I feel like my lungs are going to fall out my chest lol, in a good way. Thanks for the motivation MMD, and dub. Now I am going to pick my lungs off the floor and get a shower. Damn I am whooped.

I did insanity before made me way more skinny then anything i stopped went to weights. But i get what dan saying when i smoked after a workout it felt like a fresh wake and bake.
-
Shit.
Been trying Insanity last few months, takes a lot out of ya. God damn. My legs are fucking dead.
I'll stick to jogging and basketball I think.
This shits hardcore tho, I like it, but not everyday.
