Title: Worthless OTC sleep product - NatureMade
Post by: jbmac on August 03, 2013, 01:22:34 PM
OMG, wasted $10 buying NatureMade's Sleep product  with trace amounts of interesting things in it, passion flower, chamomile, L-theonine, meletonin, etc.
Package said take 1 before sleep, took 2, caused insomnia or did nothing - worthless product, oh well....

I know it lacks the benefits of being all natural, but dipenhydramine (benedryl) works great in my humble opinion. I can buy a bottle of the generic Kroger or WalMart brand for under four bucks.

I second benedryl.  Its good shit, and a lot cheaper than products that use it to accomplish the same thing... (zquil)

I take two about 20 mins. before I go to bed. They are 25 mg. each so it is 50 mg. That is the max dosage recommendation on the packaging. ;D

I took 2 (50 mg) and it does help, not a miracle or something to get excited about, but it seems to help, thanks.

I had some okay luck with this

I tried it last night, it was a bit too sweet, at first I liked it - it seemed to relax me, but when I tried to sleep I felt kind of buzzed, like kratom or opiates or even some blends.
It caused insomnia for me. Oh well, I'm a hard head for sleep stuff, and diff strokes for different folks.....

I tried it last night too. It was like liquid sugar and made my bottom lip go numb. As far as sleep goes, it was useless. Just another gimmick imo. Going back to benadryl.
