- thongs vs. flip flops vs. slippers
- highway vs. freeway
- buggie vs. shopping cart
- toboggan vs. wooden sled vs. knitted cap?
These are the kinds of things no one realizes really, but as soon as you go on vacation somewhat far, you start to get some weird looks at times.

I have always used e-way as short for expressway. And most people say pop around here, but I like to say soda or beverage and see the funny looks I get.
