Quick recipe for a strong opium based drink:

Step 1   Choose number of poppy pods per person. Between 1 and 3 for new drinkers, 2-5 for experienced, and 5+ for opiate addicts.
Too much makes you sick and does not increase the enjoyment.
Step 2   Break apart pods and pour out seeds for use in cooking or growing. Crush pods and grind or chop into fine pieces (coffee grinder).
Step 3   Using 1 cup water for every 3-5 pods used, boil pods briefly or pour boiling water over poppy mash. Let cool 5-10 minutes until drinkable.
Step 4   Filter through wire mesh strainer or other filter. Press the pulp to expel as much water as possible. Save the pulp for a second extraction.
Step 5   Add other tea flavors as desired. Drink slowly. You can do a second extraction using 2/3 as much water as before.

You don't NEED Papaver somniferum var. giganteum, just Papaver somniferum BTW

Just have these cause they were interesting. When using giganteum use less poppies per person.

Whats the status of growing these? For years ive wanted to grow poppies because its like growing weed with the diffrent strains. Id drink a tea every now and then. But youd think they flip if i had 100 in my yard

A few patches in a garden is fine. Many people have little personal plots.

Burt here in NorCal if the cops spot any large plantings of them they will destroy them like cannabis.

So is it illegal to grow around the house. I thought it was, but I guess if you have 200 or so or 100, cops are going to get ya!

I don't know for sure

Yes, it works, but she is a vindictive bitch.   I would not do this often because you will quickly find yourself wanting to do it more and more and more...  Then needing to do it, more and more...

That being said, opium is not as addicting as, say heroin, but it is definitely a very real physical and psychological addiction hazard here folks.

Swim breaks up one pod into shreds and sucks on  1/50th of a pod some days for the slight mental effect.  SWIM is a fan of microdosiing things.

It looks as though this site is all out, but claims to be getting more in, however it makes no mention of WHEN more will be in or when they will be taking orders. All it mentions is "Monday". Monday what?

If there are any other legit resources for dried poppy pods that anyone knows of I would like to know.

1/2 pound runs 129.99 and they are disclaimered "To be used for crafting or decorative purposes only". Damn things are so expensive you would think they were drugs or something. How does one decorate with these and why could they not be replaced by something much cheaper? Lol all sarcasm aside I don't know the answers to these questions.

Keep in mind Hawaiian baby woodrose, hops, some dried fungii and several other species of interest make for interesting dried arrangement components.  Of course no one would think to injest these, they are for decoration making only.
