I'm still wondering why NOS isn't illegal.
It is illegal to ingest nitrous oxide in a way that will make you get high.
Nitrous is the only gas used as an expeller for whipping cream, this is because only nitrous leaves the cream unflavored,
any other gas used as a propellant flavors the cream and that ruins the flavor of it.
Years ago I drove downtown to the carbonic gas business. I explained that I needed a bottle of nitrous, because I was a beginner pastry chef
and I used the gas to frost my cakes with. He tried to sell me the nitrous with sulpher mixed in, but I explained that would make my frosting taste bad.
He was only too glad to hook me up with a big bottle of nitrous oxide, after I paid the deposit and bought a pressure regulator from him. It was great
while it lasted, I used to charge my friends $5 a day to come and suck off the hose all day long!
